But McInnes told BBC Scotland: "It's not in the best condition, but ours isn't the greatest either. A lot of pitches are in the same condition.
"We're not going to make a big deal about the pitch. Falkirk showed last week they can still play on it."
Celtic's concerns prompted the Scottish Premier League to inspect the pitch ahead of their 2-0 win over Falkirk on Sunday.
However, McInnes says his team will just have to handle whatever conditions in which they find themselves.
"All surfaces are struggling at the minute with the winter we've had and we just need to make deal with it," he continued.
"I must say the players first and foremost are looking forward to the game no matter where it is."
St Johnstone have an eight-point advantage over bottom club Falkirk, and McInnes believes this encounter is a key match as he tries to keep his team in the top flight.
"It's as big a game as I've faced since I've been here as manager and I've stressed that to the players," he said.
"They've got to see the importance of that. Every game is important, but any game against a team around you in the league has that extra edge and significance.
"Hopefully, we can do enough to get the three points but we know we face a team who are desperate for the points themselves.
"It would be significant to win the match as it will allow us to go into the rest of the season with a bit more confidence.
"But we still have a lot of points to earn before we can consider ourselves safe."
