Callum Davidson would love to keep on-loan Rangers winger Glenn Middleton for next season.
The St Johnstone boss will hold talks with the Ibrox club to see if the current deal for the Scotland Under-21 cap can be extended.
Middleton was farmed out to Hibs and Bradford City before arriving at Perth in January.
Davidson said: “Glenn has had to be patient but he’s come off the bench against Ross County and scored the goal that got us into the top six. That’s some achievement.
“He’s worked really hard from the day he arrived and the more I get him involved, the better he’ll be.
“If he does unbelievably well for me in the next five or six games I probably won’t get the chance to keep him!
